Good morning everyone! I love today’s newsletter because a portion of sales from these selections are donated directly to the non-profit organizations City Harvest and Artist & Mothers. Not to mention all of today’s artworks are under $5,000.

And while I know our inboxes are being inundated with gift ideas (and gifting original art is an incredibly generous act), I would actually like to highlight the direct impact that sales have on artists and galleries. Collecting contemporary art means supporting the artist’s practice and the gallery that stands behind their vision, contributing to a community that trusts artists are the cultural stewards of our generation.

I love contemporary art because I am fascinated by how artists manifest ideas, environments, memory, or change. I would much rather be at a dinner talking about the last gallery show I saw than the latest television plot.

There is also something about collecting contemporary art that is not reductively the acquisition of an object. It is also the moments when your friends come over for dinner and ask about what is on your walls; when your family bravely inquires about an opaque and confusing industry because they know how much you care about it; when your partner patiently and diligently listens to your loquacious yet ardent explanations of why your latest art discovery is brilliant and exciting. Collecting art enriches experiences, enriches life!

Please reach out if you are interested in acquiring any of the works below so you can talk about it at all your holiday parties. You will be contributing meaningfully to the non-profits, to the galleries, to the artists, and to your life. I know you will enjoy these darling works below as I do!
