We all know this is the dreamiest time to be in New York (cue the entire Astral Weeks record), so I wanted to share a few artists I’m currently dreaming about acquiring for my own collection.
Some of you may already be in London for the fairs or preparing for Paris next week, but I’ve discovered plenty of remarkable works from local previews of exhibitions opening here in New York. I will also be in Paris for the fairs, so please let me know if you will be there too. Paid subscribers will receive a special newsletter featuring Maximilian Schubert and his upcoming presentation at Saint Laurent’s flagship store in Paris. (Reminder: always read the captions and materials, his works are not painted.)
This week’s introduction is brief because there are simply too many incredible works to include. Please take a moment to look closely and consider each one. The Barrow Parke piece in particular has a depth I keep returning to and I am so excited to see which of you also pick up on all its details and layers. I encourage you to see their show at JDJ in Tribeca before it closes on October 25.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts and interests. Enjoy!
