Art for What I Would See at LA Art Fairs
One horizon, four fairs, twelve highlights, infinite traffic
Good morning from the Far North! I am brimming with excitement over these LA art fair picks in today’s newsletter. The contemporary art scene in the City of Angels reverberates with an energy that I am sad to miss this year. If you are attending the fairs this year, please let me know so I can share gallery openings and VIP passes.
I know everyone complains about sitting in LA traffic, but the truth is when you see that much art in such a compacted amount of time, sitting in traffic actually allows the time to contemplate and digest everything you’ve just seen. I look forward to hearing your feedback on today’s selections - please let me know if there are artists you’re looking forward to seeing at the fairs as well.
A gentle reminder that with any art fair previews, works sell at an expedited pace than those in an exhibition. I use this newsletter as a platform for education and discovery, so that you can learn about an artist ahead of an art fair in case you need to make a decision quickly.
Today’s newsletter also includes a bonus work below before the paywall, because Fin Simonetti is one of my favorite sculptors. Fin has an exhibition opening in Toronto, and I just couldn’t wait to share these incredible stone works with you.
As always, all of the below artists have several works available, and it always helps to see an artist’s practice holistically. I look forward to hearing your interests and inquiries! Enjoy!
