Art for When One Leads to Another
My suggestions for collecting a series of works by artists you keep coming back to
Clients often approach me for artwork ideas when they need two, three, or four pieces for a specific space in their home. Sometimes it is to balance both sides of a bed or a fireplace, and other times it is to fill a longer hallway that is not wide enough for bookshelves or a table. The challenge with these requests is finding multiples that still fall within the spending perimeter.
Typically, these types of requests are met with suggestions of photography or studies and works on paper. I wanted to use this newsletter to share some alternatives from artists I have found especially compelling in recent months. Seeing multiple works from a series strengthens an artist’s perspective and draws the viewer into a quiet narrative between the pieces.
In the coming weeks, you will start to see more editions like this one, with fewer artworks featured in each. This structure allows me to share multiple works by an artist and take a deeper look at why I have selected them.
